Biomedical Translation Bridge
The Australian Government is supporting early-stage research discoveries to develop into viable treatments that will change lives and improve healthcare.
What we’re funding
$22.3 million over 4 years to organisations to support researchers in developing their early and innovative health and medical research ideas.
The purpose of this research funding is to:
- support researchers to develop their health and medical research ideas
- improve patient outcomes in the long term
- create new economic and job opportunities.
This program will support researchers to develop their ideas and transform them into new treatments and technologies to improve patient outcomes.
Why it’s important
- Ground-breaking research is invaluable to the future of healthcare. However, financial barriers and attracting partners can make it difficult to transform ideas into viable technologies. This measure will break through these barriers.
How to apply
Applications for the $22.3 million grant round under the program closed on 21 August 2018. Applications are currently being assessed.
