This report presents the results of the 2017 ASSAD survey. Around 20,000 students aged 12 to 17 years participated in the survey.

The report includes statistics on:

  • tobacco, alcohol, electronic cigarettes, over-the-counter drugs and illicit drugs use
  • use of health services 
  • use by age and sex
  • cigarette brands smoked
  • types of substances used compared to 2011

The first ASSAD survey was in 1984. Surveys are conducted every 3 years.
